The Band Royale

Ever heard of Chicago Music Exchange? What about Reverb? Located on Lincoln between School and Roscoe you will find two stellar music shops. Coming from both shops is a group that creates Yacht Metal. If you haven't heard of Yacht Metal you are about to be in for a treat. A unique and gnarly music genre that will leave you an earworm. Between three Bauman brothers plus Marc Stranger-Najjar the anatomy of The Band Royale will have you drooling for more. When's the next show? The guys have been in the studio recording some yummy tunes but we'll be sure to let you know soon!

Introducing Revolt Coda

Zac and the gang are getting ready to drop one jam packed album come Spring of 2019. Such a wide range of sounds on this ground breaking record. The addition of the keys has really opened up the endless possibilities. 'Structured-Rock' is the best way to describe the diversity of sound coming from these guys. Funky, jam, even a touch of reggae are some of the many genres that create the Psychedelic-Rock of Revolt Coda. "Flip the Switch" for some "Gypsy Eyes" because R-Coda should be flowing through your headphones if its not already! Sneak peak in the video below featuring a song off the new record coming Spring of next year.

The Duo of Clew & Prov

The Dynamic Duo making lots of noise in the Chicago music scene. I am a big fan of 'genre-bending' and that is exactly what these two bring to the table. Electric-Hip-House is the best way to describe their unique sound. "Time" is a solid single that will having you dancing all day and all night. Don't sleep on these kids! You might find them on you favorite playlist in no 'time', more from these guys very soon!

The Chemistry of Avantist

Signed to No Trend Records, its no secret they have exquisite talent. A four piece who happen to be brothers. I believe this gives them a clear advantage over some other bands in the 'post-rock' genre. Carrying some of the most unique sounds I've ever heard, performing covers from Beyonce to Frank Ocean. Faaaaaaaaaar and I mean FAR from a cover band, these guys have a number of catchy tunes that will no doubt leave you an earworm. The Arias brothers put on a performance that remind you to bring your dancing shoes to every show. In some cases socks...Fun Fact: David (guitar) sometimes plays shows without shoes rocking in socks on stage! Tuesday, August 14th at Sleeping Village (my second show) located just north of Logan Square and west of Roscoe Village lay this hidden gem you might call a bar. This was my first time in the spacious venue. I was shocked they sold ear plugs at the bar. If you are a bar/venue I highly recommend selling ear plugs...easy way to make a couple extra bucks and protect the consumer, win-win. Do it! I cannot wait to attend my next Avantist show. I hope to see you there, tell your friends!
